This privacy notice explains how David Hopkins, practising as the Kingston & Surbiton Centre (“I”, “me”, “my”), looks after personal information when you use this website or make an enquiry about therapy.

I am responsible for how this information is used. If you have questions about privacy or your personal data, please use the contact form and choose the option for a data protection or privacy enquiry.

If we enter into a therapeutic relationship, confidentiality and record-keeping are also set out in the Client Agreement and related practice documents.

Please keep initial enquiries brief. There is no need to share detailed personal history through the contact form; that can wait for a conversation or session if we decide to work together.

When you use the contact form, your message is sent securely to me so that I can respond. I do not use it for marketing lists, and I do not sell your information.

Only those who need to help deliver or secure the website and my practice systems may process information on my behalf, under appropriate arrangements. I may also share information where the law requires it, or where there is a serious risk of harm, as described in the Client Agreement.

The client intake form on this website can be completed on your own device. You choose how to keep or share the completed form with me (for example by bringing a copy to a first session).

Enquiries are kept only as long as needed to respond and for a short administrative period, unless there is a good reason to keep them longer. Client records are kept in line with professional guidance, insurance, and legal requirements, as described in practice policies and the Client Agreement.

I take care to keep personal information confidential and secure, in line with my professional and legal responsibilities. No system can be completely risk-free, so please also take care with the devices and accounts you use when contacting me.

This website is intended for adults enquiring about therapy. If you think a child has shared personal information through the site, please let me know using the contact form.
